Citrulline malate is a straight-up performance booster. This is a combination of L-citrulline, a common element in pre-workout supplements, and malate. It reduces fatigue, helps increase the amount of repetitions you can perform because it cranks up the energy stores in your muscles. Research has even proved that taking citrulline malate has led to subjects being able to lift more, lift harder and feel less tired, as compared to those on a placebo. Take 8g one hour before exercise for optimum results.

It's natural for your muscles to have to deal with waste products during a workout. It's basic science that the use of energy will create waste, and that waste often comes in the form of hydrogen ions. It sounds harmless enough, but hydrogen ions affect the pH levels of your muscles, making them acidic and causing fatigue. It can be resolved by taking beta-alanine.
